Sculptures in stainless steel
I began doing sculptures with clay, concrete, wood and than onto mild steel and bronze.
As a contemporary artist, I feel my metal sculptures should reflect current technology’s possibilities.
Since 2000, I have been using stainless steel as the medium for all my sculptures.
At my studio near Bangalore, I have executed over 100 stainless steel sculptures.
The height of these pieces ranges from ten centimeters to over seven meters, the heaviest being over a ton. Most of the works were designed with a computer and the stainless steel components were precision-cut with laser.
Sculptures in stainless steel are durable and easy to maintain. I am convinced that the sky is the limit in doing creative sculptures in stainless steel.
